This is one of my occasional side trips. These candles smell deliciously of caramel pumpkin, but I really intended them to be a soft orange, not cantaloupe. I’m trying my hand at soap and candle making with an eye toward Christmas presents, and I wanted to experiment before making the actual gifts. It’s a good thing I did! Next batch, I’ll try to figure out how the candle coloring wax flakes work a little better and get something more fall like.
